Back in August we had our annual family reunion at a campground nearby. Our numbers were lower than usual due to some scheduling conflicts, but those who there still had a great time! The weather was great & the company was even better. I love my nutty family!
Here is our group photo. That is my mom & my aunt in the oversized lawn chair, a.k.a. "princess chair". My cousin bought that for his wife. Isn't that hilarious?!

Our family has a thing for flamingoes. My grandma started it. She had a thing for all things plastic in the lawn ornamentation category. Her yard was quite entertaining actually. So we named the flamingo as our family mascot in honor of Grandma. We have quite a lot of flamingoes now. There are flocks of them decorating our campsite at this reunion. We have flamingo dishes & cups, flamingo towels & various clothing items (notice Darby's shirt), and even those little hanging lights that go on the campers, but they decorated my uncle's golf cart since he doesn't have a camper. We get some strange looks from fellow campers, but I think it's a fitting tribute to our grandma. I mean, we could've chosen a really strange & flashy animal, like a warthog or something. But who wants to draw attention anyway. . .
