The rest, part 1

So the next part of the project is re-doing the "middle" area & the dining room.  So we're back in tear-down phase.  There used to be just this small doorway into the dining room.  I never knew that Tim always wished it was opened up there & the table re-oriented.  We never could in the past because the pantry cabinet sat on that left-hand wall and there was a desk-cabinet area on the right of the door.  So there had to be walls there.  Well, now that all that cabinetry has been re-located, the walls are coming down!  Once it's done, the people sitting in the dining room will be able to see and talk to anyone sitting at the bar.  There will also be 3 much-needed coat/boot/backpack closets along the wall that used to have the kitchen sink line-up.  There will be 2 people per closet and all of that stuff will be behind closed doors - I'm SO excited about this part!  Remember that cluttered back hallway?  It used to be one of my pet peeves, so I'm quite excited about enclosed closets.  :)  Now we're back to detail work that isn't very visible - plumbing, electrical.  Then it will be drywall and new floors!

Drew was Bob the Builder at Halloween and has really enjoyed putting on his tool belt to "help" when Daddy is working!
