Our Tween!

Lizzie's been dreaming about her new room ever since Drew came along. We told her that she'd be moving down to the 2nd floor with us when he was old enough to move upstairs. At first she didn't want to, but we convinced her that the close proximity of the bathroom and a walk-in closet were worth it. We also advised her that she'd eventually get tired of the smell of her brothers up there! :)

She received a new bedspread, blanket, pillows, etc., last Christmas to help tide her over until we were ready to make this change. So we used that color scheme for her new room.

"V" is for Victory - finally moving into the new room!

Grandpa Merle helped so much by painting Lizzie's room for her/us one Saturday in November. Lizzie helped out, too.

A couple of weeks later, the finishing touch, circles, was added. Lizzie saw this in a friend's room and another friend's basement and thought it would look cool in her room.

The circles cover parts of 3 of her walls. Her brothers exclaimed that it looks like someone pooped on her walls! Leave it to brothers to come up with that! :)

We've been working hard at de-cluttering ever since "the big move". I think we have a pack-rat on our hands, though, so throwing away or even giving away is tough!
